Anti-Religion is Just Ignorance

maherWhen Bill Maher released Religulous through Lions gate films he’s established one thing, that he is ignorant and oblivious to the historical facts about religion. It’s not just Bill Maher who falls a few beans short of a burrito, but thousands of Americans on the far left seem to think that Religion in the US is the cause of War and divisive issues we have in this country and would like all Religion to just GO AWAY. What they don’t seem to think about is that religion has been around since the beginning  of time and will never go away. Yes, it has been the main factor in almost every war ever fought and many countries and sects within countries still battle today however, never in history has a country so openly welcomed any religion like the US has. Never have so many religions lived together in greater peace than in the US! NEVER has any country even been so accepting  of ANY religion than the US.   Do you think L Ron Hubbard could have started his religion anywhere else but the US.?. No! It would never happen.  In this country we have people that worship Mount Shasta and we even have religions that worship Lizards for crying out loud and we all manage to get along (for the most part).  Never before has a nation been as successful in managing this freedom and is why we try to spread this understanding, this credo.  Bill Maher and his cone headed friendly’s are quick to bash anyone that dares to be spiritual or religious because after all Bill Maher’s show is Politically Incorrect right? It’s ok to attack religion but not ok to attack minority groups? Can you imagine if Maher made a satire about Muslims!?! Can you imagine the backlash that would ensue??? You have to ask yourself where this country is headed if we are in a time where you can publically attack Christians and other Christ based faiths but not question a religion that has a core belief that all those who do not worship Allah must die so they can come back and cleansed. If this is the intent on those attacking Christian’s, maybe they are the war mongers because eventually if they continue we will certainly have one.  So if our incredible record as a country without religous based wars falls, you can thank Maher and his cronies for the M-16 toting malitia’s running through your yard.

Marxism is very real and alive today in the US. This compelling group of video’s lays out an incredible view into our state of our country and how the PC situation puts us at risk. Furthermore, you can see how radical Islam is using the PC debate to add themselves to the list of victims.

I recently attended and event at The Ronald Regan Presidential Museum celebrating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.  The event titled Ronald Reagan and the Fall of the Wall:  Reflections from Yesterday, Lessons for today. It was a conference packed with an impressive list of speakers ranging from world leaders, dignitaries and influential personalities from around the world.

The event was comprised of three panel sessions and a luncheon keynote speech. The goal of the conference was to look at a some specific events that lead to the fall of the wall, the people responsible, and the impact of that historic event and the legacy of the man that lead the charge to end the cold war, Ronald Regan. There were two sessions that stood out at this event.  The first was the keynote luncheon speech given by former Secretary of State for Ronald Regan George P Shultz.  His speech shed light into the unique leadership Ronal Regan provided that we fail to find in our elected officials today.  Shultz delivered a rare look into the mindset of the Soviets at the time and the determination and constancy of purpose that Regan possessed.  He spoke of how Regan approached the use of force with a (pot shot) at the Obama administration.  Although he didn’t mention Obama by name he spoke of the time when the US invaded Granada.  Regan sought counsel from his Military leaders on the strategy to invade.  His Generals asked for a specific number of troops to successfully invade and rescue the 250 American being held on the Island.  Regan responded by saying “Take that number and double it, there will be less casualties on both sides”.  Shultz went on to say “ Today the General on the ground in Afghanistan requested 40,000 more troops from the President and the President responded with I’ll get back to you on that”.  “That would be unconscionable in a Regan White House” replied Shultz which drew a long applause from the roughly 500 in attendance. He spoke of a man of humility that believed “One man can accomplish great things as long as he doesn’t care who gets the credit”.   Everyone who spoke during this event agreed Regan was never comfortable with the credit he was given for ending the cold war because so many people were part of the solution.  It was clear the humility of Regan had a lasting effect on all who worked with him and it was also very clear that humility was something that we are not seeing in the current President.  Former White House Speech writer for Regan and drafter of the famous “Tear down this Wall” speech, Peter Robinson commenting on the personality of Regan said, “Regan would have done the right thing and said “No thank you, I don’t deserve the Peace Prize”. Robinson spoke of the harsh resistance Regan received from beaurocrats throughout the government about the line in his Berlin Wall speech “MrGorbachevtear down this wall!”.  Many were nervous because Regan who drawn criticism from so many when he called the Soviet Union an “evil empire” and they wanted to avoid more tension.  Regan asked all of his advisors their thoughts about removing the line from the speech and they all agreed it should be removed.  Regan responded by saying “I am the President and it’s my decision right?  The line Stay’s in”.  He reflected that at that moment Regan delivered that line was a special time in many soviet occupied countries.  They knew Regan would be successful at ended the cold war providing freedom to those oppressed by the communist nation.  Later during another panel that we heard from eastern European leaders that echoed that sentiment.  Mart Laar, former Prime Minster for Estonia mentioned the principles of Regan and his vision for  the US helped him construct a system in Estonia with privatization and a flat tax system he implemented after the fall of the wall has lead to a strong economy and wealth for its citizens Laar said “I have a picture of Regan in my office”.  As do many other leaders of former occupied countries in attendance such as Poland and the Czech Republic.  When panelist Steve Forbes was asked if there was an unfinished legacy from the fall of the wall Forbes replied “yes, we don’t have a picture of Regan in OUR Presidents office”.   Throughout this event I heard a consistent message.   It was a message that left me more concerned about the direction of our country than ever.  Czech President Vaclav Kalus expressed concern with our current administration and its policies saying the USA is becoming a Marxist country.  Mart Laar from Estonia screamed to the crowd “remember people YOU WON THE COLD WAR!”   Poland’s head economist warned us that there is truly no freedom without capitalism”. Former Deputy Prime Minister to Poland Leszek Balcerowicz said “There can be no freedom without capitalism and warned of the direction our current government.  It was these comments that made me realize that these former communist countries, their leaders and their people know far more about Marxism and communism than we will ever know.  They know the smell, the taste and the effects of tyranny.  They are more familiar with freedom and liberty because it’s fresh in their mind.   In fact, these leaders sounded more like our founders than our current leaders do. They want to see a strong America comprised of people from all nations that stands for liberty and freedom and not the big government controlling industries and taking over private companies.  During the event I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to many of these world leaders and dignitaries. People like Nancy Regan, Ed Meese (United States Attorney General, 1985-1988); Richard Allen (National Security Advisor, 1981-1982), John Lehman (Secretary of the Navy, 1981-1987), Lord Charles Powell (Foreign Advisor to Margaret Thatcher, 1983-1990) and Czech President Klaus.  There was one consistent theme and it was fear of the direction this administration is taking us.  I find it amazing that almost everyone else in the world can see that we are heading to not even a social system but worse, a Marxist direction.  Why is it that we don’t hear comments from other world leaders from our media?  Could it be that they think it would confirm the Tea Party protestors concerns?  I think so.  Whatever the case, during this 20th anniversary of the fall of the wall and the end of the cold war, we need to turn to those that understand how to defeat tyranny and recognize who in our government is advancing tyranny.

We need to find leaders that think like Regan who once said, “Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty”.  America has an enemy in the White House and many more in congress.  It’s time we demand MR.OBAMA, TEAR DOWN YOUR WALL.

Left leaning media wants doom and gloom

I subscribe to breaking news alerts to from many media media outlets and it always amazes me the bias and agenda in thier reports but none more obvious than today.

Fox news alerts for the down turn in the stock markey by saying in emails:

Fox: STOCKS PLUNGE SHARPLY, DOW CLOSES DOWN MORE THAN 670 POINTS

Cnn had a notice just seconds later with:

CNN: The Dow closes down about 680 points, as manufacturing hits a 26-year low and the U.S. is declared to be in a recession.

The left likes bad news beacuse it enables governmnet to use this bad news to tax you more> It also enables them at this point (before Obama’s takes office) to stake claim to any new bump in the economy after he takes office.   Let’s not be fooled and understand how media has staked a great claim in the minds of the american people.

I was visiting a friend the other night for dinner and their little boy Joey who is 6 years old said he heard Obama talking about giving money to those who had none.  He said “I have no money so I will write him and ask for $100.00”.  I said nothing because I knew the family was a left leaning family and me being a conservative I didn’t want to ruin the evening by teaching their 6 year old about the negative aspects of welfare so I just smiled and bit my tongue.   A few weeks later I was invited back over for dinner again and during dinner I asked my friends whatever happened with Joey’s request from the President for $100.00.  “Well” The mother answered while winking at me.  “Joey received a $5.00 Bill from the President”.   At that moment Joey said with a scowl on his face “yeah and those idiot liberals deducted their standard 95% tax”.

I simply said “Ahhh I have hope for the future afterall”.
